Resume checker for freshers
A fresher resume is judged on projects, internships, skills you have actually used, and clean basics like one page and a clear target role. This checker looks at each project's depth, your coding profiles, CGPA advice for campus cutoffs, and whether recruiters can find what they need in six seconds.

What do recruiters look for in a fresher resume?
Proof that you can build things, said in a way they can check fast. These are the nine campus-ready checks the fresher report runs, each marked pass, warn or fix.
Numbers in bullets
Each bullet says what changed: verb + what + number.
Projects with links
Two to four projects, each with a GitHub or live link that opens.
Internship
Listed under Experience, with dates and one outcome line.
Coding profile with numbers
A solved count or rating next to the link. "Participated" reads weak.
CGPA shown right
Shown when it clears common cutoffs, left out when it does not.
Skills used in projects
Every listed skill shows up in a project or internship.
Clear headline
Your target role sits right under your name.
One page
Strongest projects kept, padding cut.
No photo or date of birth
Left out for private jobs, kept for govt and PSU forms.
Is my project good enough?
The report rates each project basic, solid or strong, and tells you why. A strong project has a link, a clear stack and a result someone can check.
| Level | What it looks like | What makes it this level |
|---|---|---|
| Basic | A tutorial clone, like a todo, weather or movie app, built step by step from a guide. | Nothing you added yourself. Often no link and no result. |
| Solid | Your own idea, or a clone you clearly extended, with a repo or live link. | Works end to end, clear stack, and you can explain each choice. Missing a result. |
| Strong | A real app people used, or a hard problem solved well. | Link, stack and a result you can check: users, speed or data size. |
Tutorial clones like todo or weather apps count as basic unless you added something real, such as login, tests, live data or real users. If you did, say what you added in the first bullet.
Should I put my CGPA?
Show it when it clears common campus cutoffs of 6.0 CGPA or 60%. Leave it out below that and lead with your projects. Add Class 10 and 12 marks when a drive asks for them.
Show it
6.0 or above, or 60% or above
Put it on the education line, in the same scale your college uses.
Leave it out
Below 6.0 or 60%
Lead with projects, skills and internships. If a form asks, answer it honestly.
Add when asked
Class 10 and 12 marks
Mass recruiters and some campus drives filter on them. Add both as percentages.
Cutoffs vary by company and year. Read each drive's eligibility before you apply; it overrides any general rule here.
Private job or government form?
The rules flip. Private companies do not need personal details, so they only take space. Government and PSU forms often expect them. Pick Govt or PSU in the checker and Lala keeps them in.
| Detail | Private job | Govt or PSU form |
|---|---|---|
| Photo | Leave out | Keep |
| Date of birth | Leave out | Keep |
| Declaration | Leave out | Keep |
Father's name follows the same rule. When a form gives its own format, follow the form.

FAQ
Frequently asked questions
Should I put CGPA if it is low?
If your CGPA is below common campus cutoffs, usually 6.0 or 60%, leave it off and lead with projects and skills. Many forms still ask for it, so answer honestly there. Cutoffs vary by company and year, so check each drive's eligibility before you apply.
How many projects should a fresher resume have?
Two to four is a good range. Each one should have a link, the stack you used and one result, like users, speed or data size. Two strong projects beat five tutorial copies, so cut the weakest ones when your page gets crowded.
Is a todo app a good project?
On its own, no. Todo, weather and movie clone apps follow well-known tutorials, so they count as basic. It becomes worth listing when you add something real, like login, sync, tests, live data or real users. Then say exactly what you added.
Should I add a photo or date of birth?
For private companies, no. They do not need them, and they take space from your projects and skills. Government and PSU forms are different: they often ask for a photo, date of birth and a signed declaration, so keep those when the form says so.
One page or two?
One page for a fresher. Recruiters skim, and a single page makes you keep your strongest projects and cut the rest. Move to two pages only when you have real work experience that cannot fit, not to add hobbies or every course you took.
Is the fresher resume check free?
Only if the fresher check is your first full check: every account gets one free Standard check after login. After that, each fresher check costs 20 credits (30 credits for Advanced), shown before you start, and refunded if it fails. The file is not kept; your report is saved privately to your account, where only you can see it.
